Ceramic Restorations

The computer then uses CAM technology as it guides a special milling machine to mill a solid block of ceramic into the restoration specifically required for each individual patient. The milling process usually takes less then 15 minutes and the whole procedure can often be completed in a single appointment.
The new ceramic restoration is then polished and cemented into the tooth to complete the restorative process. Why is a ceramic restoration a good alternative?
